Counter and Timer Universal Scoreboard

The Counter and Timer Universal Scoreboard is a family member of the original Universal Scoreboard. The digital electronic LED display timer counts down (in minutes and seconds) the time from the start of play to zero. The duration of this time is pre-selectable from 60 minutes to less than 1 minute.

A remote RF controller which has a range of 35 meters provides the functions of START, STOP/PAUSE and RESTART and stops the audible buzzer when time zero is reached.

A local IR controller provides full setup and editing functions of the LED Display.

The digital electronic LED display counter replaces the manual flip numbers and records each team.s score electronically.

A second remote RF controller which has a range of 35 meters provides control of the displayed score; pressing the left hand button once increases the displayed green score by one digit, pressing the right hand button increases the blue score by one. Repeated pressings will increase the total by one.

The two LED displays are powered by a rechargeable Lithium ion battery which has a selected discharge capacity of two hours to eight hours or more, dependant on the end use of the scoreboard. The battery is recharged via the supplied mains operated charger. The high quality Lithium ion battery has a minimal life of 500 cycles; that is it will power the Timer for the stated discharge capacity after being recharged 500 times (each week day for 2 years).

Each Counter and Timer Universal Scoreboard has explicit operating instructions on its reverse side.

It also has the flip cards as used by a Universal Scoreboard which records the segmented status of the game . first to fourth quarter, first and second half plus extra time.

The midway steel panel screen printed "Team Red" and "Team Black" can hold magnetic overlays printed with competing teams' names and or logos. These overlays will facilitate the easy changeover of team names between games; this printing can be to photographic standards.

The header board is a printed PVC panel which can be used to promote a sponsor or acknowledge a supporter. The printing can be to digital photographic standards.

The board is stabilised on two detachable feet which clip onto the bottom of the scoreboard.

The operation of the Counter and Timer Universal Scoreboard is controlled by a referee and/or a scorer via a remote controller to start, pause for an injury break and stop the countdown timer and to control the displayed score via a remote.

The Timer will answer the other question "How much time is left?"
The Counter will answer the question "What's the score?"
