The Cricket Scoreboard records the accumulated runs for two teams from 0 to 499, the total number of wickets down for the batting team from 0 to 9, plus the number of overs completed from 0 to 99 for the innings in progress.
The header board is a printed fold over PVC panel viewable from front and back which can be used to promote a sponsor or acknowledge a supporter. The printing can be to digital photographic standards.
The scoreboard is stabilised on two detachable feet which clip onto the bottom of the scoreboard.
The operation of the Cricket Scoreboard involves manually flipping over the numbers as the game progresses. The top row of black numbers is usually reserved for the batting team to show the accumulated score as their innings progresses, the red numbers displays the wickets down and the green numbers displays the number of completed overs for the innings in progress. This will promulgate and answer the never ending questions from players and spectators alike “What’s the score?”, “How many wickets down?” and “How many overs played?” Once all the wickets have been lost or the specified number of innings is completed, the score from the top row of black numbers is normally transferred down to the bottom blue row, the wickets, overs and the top black row of numbers are returned to zero, and the previously bowling team will become the batting side, using the top row of black numbers. If there are multiple innings for each team, the accumulated score should be displayed.
The numbers on the Cricket Scoreboard have their reverse sides printed such that the score can be read from the back of the scoreboard.
