The New Zealand Bowls Scoreboard records the accumulated score for two players or teams from 0 to 49 and the number of ends played from 0 to 49. The blackboard panel records and displays the names of the players plus the number of scoring bowls from each end played.
The header board is a printed fold over PVC panel viewable from front and back which can be used to promote a sponsor or acknowledge a supporter. The printing can be to digital photographic standards.
Each New Zealand Bowls Scoreboard has two spike legs which protrude down from the sides. Two holes must be pre-drilled into the solid substrate surrounding the green to accommodate these spikes.
The blackboard is made from steel which has been powder coated before the blackboard and printed divisions are applied. There is a magnet which retains the blackboard panel to prevent it “swinging in the breeze”.
Three stainless steel bars are fitted into slots which allows the numbers to be flipped over by the scorer, but which prevents the wind inadvertently flipping over the numbers.
The operation of the New Zealand Bowls Scoreboard involves manually flipping over the numbers as each team scores to show an accumulated total for each team and the accumulated number of ends played. This will promulgate and answer the never ending questions from players and spectators alike “What’s the score?” and “How many ends played?”
The numbers on the New Zealand Bowls Scoreboard have the reverse side of the numbers printed such that the score can be read from the back of the scoreboard.
